Dom was born in New Orleans, but moved swiftly to NZ as soon as he could. He spent his early years in Ohope Beach, moving to Auckland aged five with his parents, two brothers and two cats.
After attending Sacred Heart college then University of Auckland Medical school, he worked for Waikato Hospital, Auckland Hospital and Starship Children’s Hospital. He is now training to be a General Practitioner.
Dom enjoys meeting people from all walks of life and loves learning as much as he can about all the various wonderful cultures, professions and environments that shape Aotearoa. Passionate about child and youth health, one of his main kaupapa is promoting health literacy, health education, encouraging healthy habits and empowering patients to achieve their health goals.
A huge sports fan, particularly football which is one of his main passions. He enjoys watching a wide variety of sports including basketball, rugby, tennis, combat sports and cricket. Plays a range of social sports with friends as often as he can.
Dom loves the NZ summer, spending as much time as he can at the beach or in the bush during holidays and time off.
